"Purring sound started in early June 2024. Regular mechanic claims it is damage to timing chain from low oil but sound doesnt correlate with other VW owners experiences regarding timing chain issues. We were told its not worth repairing but we want to have a VW technician look at it as well before we make the decision to either repair it or replace the vehicle."
