"Every so often, the display screen freezes. You cannot see or select radio or satellite radio. I figured out a way to fix it. Turn the entire car off, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on. This usually temporarily fixes the problem."

"GPS signal when connected to apple car play is hard wired to the infotainment unit. However, the infotainment unit does not get a reliable signal and so gives completely incorrect directions- sometimes pinpoints my location to be tens of miles away from my current location. This issue took 6+ trips to the dealerships and 9 months to figure out. Then they told me that the head unit is back ordered and they have no estimate available for when it will be. This was 10 months ago and I've moved cities and VW says they cannot transfer the backordered part to a new dealership and so I need to start this whole process over again. Its too bad because I really like how the car drives and everything else about it but the navigation is a total liability and the customer service has been an absolute nightmare."

Premature brake wear

"There was a significant shake, vibration when I applied the brakes. I brought it at the dealership and the discovered there was a tiny rock stuck in the brake lining which they removed, that is when they noticed these was significant wear on the front breaks. Had to replace the breaks at my expense as not under warranty however the dealership provided me shop credit fora portion of the cost."

"Rear pads and rotors were replaced at 61747km. It was recommended by the dealer because they were below-average rating.I was a bit surprised but I had them replaced."

"The overhead control panel fell off and was hanging by wires while driving. It impeded half of my view while driving. This is apparently a widespread problem. New panels are on back order, so I will be driving with a wire clothes hanger stretched from sun shade to sun shade to hold the panel up until it can get fixed."

"Claim active with VW no regarding the continued hesitation problem with this car. Occurs from stop to go. Sever enough that I wont let my wife drive it. VW has been trying to fix it with vehicle updates to the computer, but with little or no results. Last fix worked for a week but the problem returned. Love this vehicle, but hate this SAFTY issue. VW is working on. Dealership has been keeping me up to date with any news and working diligently to rectify this issue."
