"Car electrical system does not shut off completely, so if not driven consistently the car runs the battery down and there is a low battery warning. Even though the car has a new replaced battery. Not a safety issue, but a nagging reminder that this vehicle is one that requires continuous maintenance."

"Check engine lights came on repeatedly for years. This model of the Volvo XC60 - 2016 - had a number of problems that we experienced, too. E.g., oil burning off at an inordinate rate, and no oil dipstick to check oil levels. Volvo dealer in San Jose unresponsive to the repeated problem of alert lights coming on. Had to change dealers (to Bend OR & Palo Alto CA) to get the kinds of attention required to fix these manufacturing defects already known about in the 2016 Volve XC60."

"blockage in rain vents for the sunroof. result was much water in cabin threatening electronics. I forget what repairs had to be made, but clearing the blocks was quite expensive. there is no recommended maintenance, unlike (I'm told) as there is with Mercedes, which can be subject to the same problem"
