The Volvo XC70 represents a dwindling breed of utilitarian wagons. In a market saturated with SUVs, the size and versatility of this wagon are appealing and refreshing. A quieter, better-finished interior, a ride that's less stiff and more responsive handling than the previous model are welcome attributes of this edition, although its performance, ride and handling don't inspire enthusiasm.
