We don’t have to tell you that parenting is expensive—especially when it comes to baby gear like high chairs, strollers, and car seats (the cost of diapers alone can run into the thousands over those first few years!). That’s why finding ways to save on all the essentials you need for your little one can help, and this year’s Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale—which runs October 6 and 7—is a great place to look.
We’ve combed through all the baby gear CR has tested, including strollers, car seats, cribs, baby monitors, and yes, even diapers, to highlight the products that scored well in our lab tests and offer some serious savings during Amazon’s two-day sale.

Best Deals on Baby Monitors
Babysense 5" HD Split Screen Baby Monitor HD S2
This Babysense monitor comes with its own display unit and handles the video feed locally, so it doesn’t have the privacy and security issues of internet-connected models. The camera can be remotely panned, zoomed, or tilted to get a better view. The 5-inch 720p display unit is powered by rechargeable batteries, and offers two-way talk and shows the room temperature. The single-camera option is down to under $100 with an additional coupon, but the 2-camera version is also at a great price for Prime Day.
Best Bassinet Deals
The Newton Baby Bassinet and Bedside Sleeper is a portable bassinet that can be used freestanding or as a bedside sleeper, with a side panel that unzips to allow easy access to your baby, and it’s 15 percent off for Prime Day. In bedside sleeper mode, the unit must be secured to the side of your bed with straps for safety. This bassinet is also height-adjustable, so it can fit different mattress heights. The mattress pad cover and bassinet sheet are machine-washable.
The Delta Children Bondi Beechwood Bassinet is lightweight, at just 15 pounds, making it easy to move from room to room. But it doesn’t skimp on space. The Bondi has a larger-than-average sleeping area and is suitable for babies up to 30 pounds. The bassinet can be placed bedside to keep your baby within arm’s reach, and it has a large storage shelf to stash necessities, as well as nonskid feet for stability.
Best Deals on Car Seats
The Britax Poplar convertible car seat is designed to accommodate children between 5 and 65 pounds and offers extended rear-facing use up to 50 pounds, making it a good choice for families looking to keep their child rear-facing for longer. (CR experts say rear-facing is the safest way for children to ride in vehicles.) The Poplar offers excellent crash protection and uses flame-retardant chemical-free fabrics, and the seat pads are both machine-washable and dryer safe. This convertible car seat offers plenty of convenient features, such as a tensioning and lock-off mechanism to help secure the seatbelt or lower anchor strap during installation, and a no-rethread harness. It’s at the lowest price we’ve seen in a while, at 28 percent off.
Best Deals on Cribs
The metal Namesake Abigail has a powder-coated finish available in gold, black, and white, and it converts from a crib to a toddler bed and then to a daybed, all with the same crib-sized mattress. The Abigail offers four mattress support heights, but our testers found that adjusting it was best done as a two-person job. The toddler bed conversion kit (a low toddler guard rail that replaces one of the crib sides) is an additional $129, but you can convert the crib to a daybed without additional pieces.
Best Deals on Diapers
The Pampers Swaddlers 360 are pull-up style diapers that have a 360-degree stretch waistband for a good fit. They earned high marks for absorbing moisture quickly, and excelled at keeping moisture away from a baby’s skin. The pack of 136 diapers is 25 percent off for Prime Day.
Amazon’s in-house brand Mama Bear’s line of Gentle Touch diapers performed well in our absorption and dryness tests. They have a wetness indicator and an umbilical cord cutout in smaller sizes, and diaper sizes range from newborn (up to 10 pounds) to 7 (41 pounds and up). According to the manufacturer, the diapers are made with sustainably sourced pulp and are free from elemental chlorine, bleaching, natural latex, phthalates, lotions, and fragrances.
Mama Bear Overnight Diapers are another cost-conscious pick that excelled in our dryness tests. They were fairly quick at absorbing liquid and did well at retaining moisture so it doesn’t seep out, decreasing the chance of your child feeling uncomfortable and developing a diaper rash. They’re available in sizes ranging from 3 (16 to 28 pounds) to 6 (35 pounds and up). According to Mama Bear, the diapers are free from chlorine bleaching, perfumes, lotions, parabens, and phthalates.
Best High Chair Deals
The Stokke Clikk high chair, CR’s Top Pick in High Chairs for 2026, has a modern, straightforward design that’s pretty ingenious. It assembles quickly by clicking together—no tools necessary—and is ideal for everyday use. It also features a smooth, molded tray and seat, meaning there are no seams or crevices where food can collect, and the dishwasher-safe tray and machine-washable harness make for quick cleanup. It’s at the lowest price we’ve seen for Prime Day.
Lalo’s The Chair is sleek, easy to use, and easy to keep clean, which is why it made it into our best high chairs roundup. At just 10 pounds, it’s the lightest high chair that CR recommends. It has some convenient cleaning features, such as a machine-washable seat pad and harness straps (which are also very easy to adjust), and an easy-to-wipe surface and tray. It can also convert to a booster seat with an optional kit sold separately. Some colors are on deep discount for Prime Day.
The Munchkin Float is a foldable high chair that’s simple to use and keep clean, and it’s our Value Pick for this year’s Top Picks for High Chairs. The Prime Day sale price makes it an even better deal. It’s great for small spaces, thanks to a minimal footprint and slim profile, and it folds easily for storage and transport. It’s rare to find a top-performing high chair that folds, and even harder to find one that boasts lots of parent-friendly features, like tool-free assembly and a one-piece tray and seat for easy cleaning. The tray hooks onto the back of the chair when not in use.
Best Safety Gate Deals
Momcozy Retractable Baby Gate 33" x 55" Wide
The Momcozy Retractable Baby Gate is a mesh gate featuring a double locking mechanism that requires pushing down a button and sliding the latch to the open position. There’s no threshold, making it a good option for use between rooms where you don’t want to have to step over a gate’s bottom bar. It’s expandable up to 55 inches.
Cumbor Auto Close Safety Baby Gate
The Cumbor Auto Close Safety Baby Gate has a helpful one-handed open/close and an auto-lock feature. It’s expandable up to 46 inches, making it a good fit for larger openings. But because it’s pressure-mounted, it’s not a safe solution for the top of your stairs.
We found the North States Toddleroo Easy Swing & Lock Gate very easy to use once it was in place, though it was somewhat difficult to install. The one-handed opening, hardware mounting, and lack of threshold make it suitable for use at the top of stairs. The gate can swing in two directions, but a swing control feature allows you to set it to open in one direction only (the safest option is to swing away from the steps). This metal hardware-mounted gate can expand up to nearly 48 inches, making it a good option for wider stairways or thruways, too.
The North States Toddleroo 3-In-1 Arched Decor Metal Superyard can be used as a playpen or barrier safety gate. When used as a gate, it must be used with an even number of panels. It can expand up to 144 inches. The door features a self-close or hold-open, which is helpful if you’re carrying a child or other items.
Best Stroller Deals
The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is a great everyday stroller, with excellent maneuverability and an easy, one-handed folding process. Solid and sturdy, it’s relatively lightweight and offers decent storage. It features an adjustable handlebar for caregivers of different heights, but note that the restraint harness requires rethreading to adjust.
The Baby Jogger City Select 2 is a tandem front-to-back combo stroller that can accept a separately purchased second seat. This stroller is narrower than side-by-side double strollers, and its maneuverability and safety are excellent in our tests. (Note: our tests did not include the optional second seat.) It’s solid and sturdy, but it’s also heavy and a bit cumbersome to lift into and out of a car trunk. The basket is a good size, with good access.
The Bob Gear Wayfinder is sturdy and solid with excellent maneuverability. Its air-filled tires make for a smooth ride, and one-touch brakes are an added convenience. Its safety performance is very good, and testers found it easy to use. The stroller also has a height-adjustable handle and a very large storage basket with a zippered cover. It boasts a one-hand fold and stands folded, though it’s heavy at 31 pounds.
This top-rated double stroller seats two kids, including infants under 6 months old. (But be sure not to start jogging with your children until they’re over 6 months old and you’ve talked to their pediatrician.) The Bob Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 Duallie aces our safety tests and offers a smooth ride, thanks to its air-filled tires. CR’s testers found it easy to navigate, with a smooth ride for both passengers. It has a large storage basket, an adjustable handle, and one-touch brakes. But it leaves a large footprint when folded, and it doesn’t allow for a one-handed fold, so it’s a little trickier than some other models to collapse.
The Graco Premier Modes Merge is a sturdy and smooth-riding modular stroller that works with an infant car seat, carry cot, or standard stroller seat, allowing multiple modes of use. The 360-degree spinning wheels offer sideways and diagonal movement for easier navigation in tight spaces, making it a good choice for busy city sidewalks. It’s somewhat heavy, but stands out for its parent-friendly features, such as a large storage basket, organizer pockets, one-handed, self-standing fold, a generous canopy, and a no-rethread harness with a magnetic buckle.
A lightweight car seat carrier, the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX delivers strong performance in terms of safety, ease of use, and maneuverability. In spite of its name, the car seat doesn’t snap in; it rests on two strap supports and is secured by another strap, which helps it accommodate many styles of infant car seats. The stroller’s light weight (14 pounds), compact folded size, and ability to stand when folded make it practical for travel and storage. It can’t be fully folded with one hand, and it lacks one-touch brakes and an adjustable handle. But it’s a well-priced and convenient option.
The Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double Stroller car seat carrier can accommodate two infant car seats for twins or two babies relatively close in age, and its value and convenience are hard to beat. It’s also quite easy to use, though it doesn’t feature an adjustable handle or one-touch brakes. It also meets Disney parks’ stroller-size requirements.
