In Apple’s AirPod lineup, the AirPods 4 is a rather unusual model–call it old school–and the very low price right now allows you to gift a pair of AirPods for around $100. Lacking the silicone and foam ear tips of the AirPods Pro 3, which sit snugly in your ear canals, the AirPods 4 offer limited passive noise cancellation. However, they do feature reasonably effective active noise-canceling. This allows you to turn the noise-canceling feature off and hear what’s going on around you, which can be great when you’re on a run or walking on a busy street. In terms of sound and fit, the buds are very similar to the regular AirPods 4 without noise-canceling, and for that matter, Apple’s older entry-level AirPods without the "Pro" designation.
The Samsung QN65Q8F, a 65-inch midtier model in Samsung’s 2025 QD-OLED lineup, is among the best sets you can buy, with impressive overall picture quality, top-notch high dynamic range, and great sound. (Samsung TVs support HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos sound, but not Dolby Vision HDR.) This set supports a maximum 4K 144Hz refresh rate, as well as Auto Low Latency Mode and variable refresh rate.
The Ninja Pro AF141 is at its best price—we’ve never seen it sell for less. This is an easy-to-use air fryer with a measured capacity of 3.8 quarts and a range of cooking functions, including a dehydrate setting. It’s not the quietest air fryer, but it’s not especially noisy either, and our testers found it easy to clean. It comes with pre-programmed settings for cooking different foods, plus a recipe book and cooking charts to help guide your cooking. You’ll get a 1-year warranty with this machine.
A truly splurge-worthy gift comes in the form of this well-rated hair dryer. Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is a top performer in our tests. It impresses in terms of noise and ease of use, as well as our air temperature tests, which measure the lowest maximum heat setting. The lightweight model has magnetic attachments that are very easy to attach, detach, and rotate. The heat and speed settings are easily accessible during operation, and it also features a one-touch “Cold shot” function. This hair dryer has a powerful air setting and comes with these attachments: a narrow concentrator, a diffuser, a comb, and a smoother.
We don’t often see a deal like this on the Dyson, so it’s worth grabbing now if you’ve had your eye on it.
The Our Place Always Pan 2.0 is one of the top-rated nonstick frying pans in CR’s tests. We find that it cooks evenly, and its handle is sturdy and is cool enough to the touch that you won’t need a potholder every time you reach for it. Its nonstick food release is very good, and it earns a very good score in our nonstick durability test. This pan is induction-compatible, the manufacturer says it’s oven safe to 450° F, and it’s on sale for about 25 percent off for Black Friday.
This wireless Bluetooth iPod/iPad/cellphone-centric headphone from JBL is a solid pick. The JBL Tune 660NC delivers very good sound quality and excellent active noise reduction. These headphones have a closed design, so they will provide some muffling of external noises and also reduce the amount of sound that escapes from the headphones.
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2
The Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 are a great solution to the annual routine of putting up holiday lights. You mount them once and leave them up year-round. They can display dozens of different lighting patterns for every holiday you can imagine, and when you’re not in a holiday season they can be used as white accent lights for your home. In my evaluation, the lights were very easy to set up and worked with every major smart home platform thanks to the Matter standard. Amazon is discounting 50-foot, 100-foot, and 150-foot sets of these lights in both black and white finishes by 35 to 39 percent.
A stand mixer like the KitchenAid Artisan Series KSM195PSBK is a prized possession on many bakers’ countertops, and this price makes it easier to add it to yours. This stand mixer earns an excellent score for whipping time in whipped-cream tests, and an excellent score in our mixing tests, where we observe how much a mixer labors when mixing thick chocolate-chip cookie dough. It comes with a stainless steel bowl with a handle, a whisk, and a dough hook. This model can also run attachments like a pasta maker or spiralizer, bought separately.
Cool, breathable, and incredibly soft, the Buffy Breeze Sheet Set stands out among synthetic fiber options. It earns top marks for fit and softness and holds up well in tests for shrinkage, strength, and wrinkling. Designed for mattresses up to 14 inches deep, these eucalyptus-based sheets stay smooth and stay put, and even include directional tags to make bed-making a breeze (no pun intended).
The Soundlink Max is a modestly sized portable that delivers. The sound quality is satisfying with deep, impactful bass, though our testers find that the Max can become harsh at high volumes. The $100 discount looks better when you realize that Bose speakers go on sale less frequently than other brands’ products.
Apple MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
The MacBook Air has been a great choice for most people since the first model was released way back in 2008. This one—outfitted with Apple’s homegrown M1 processor—debuted in 2020 and is still a compelling choice for many people. (Heck, this article was written on one!) This model is now getting hard to find, but if you see one, it’s selling at a price so low it practically requires a double-take. In fact, the sale price just dipped $50 since this morning.
The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K is one of the best video doorbells you can buy. It provides the flexibility to install it wherever you need it. You can run it using the rechargeable battery or hardwire it to a home’s doorbell wiring for continuous power. Features include geofencing and voice/app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as alerts for people, packages, animals, and vehicles) require an Arlo Secure subscription.
This is the best price we’ve ever seen for this model.
We like the Shark Vertex Pro IZ662H’s many features, and the fact that it’s at the lowest price of the year. The wand can be bent to easily reach under furniture, and the vacuum itself folds to allow more compact storage. While it’s only decent at cleaning carpets, this vacuum excels at removing pet hair and dust from bare, uncarpeted floors. This deal is the best that we’ve seen of this vacuum all year.
The top-scoring Hamilton Beach 31156 is the only toaster oven in our ratings to excel in all of our tests for toast, plus it does a solid job at baking. It has a novel design: two bread slots for toasting, as you’d find on a dedicated toaster, and a small oven cavity underneath. For those who prioritize toast but want basic toaster oven features, this model may be the right pick.
