Best Sales at Best Buy Tech Fest
Best Buy's Tech Fest started before Amazon's Prime Day and continues through the week. Here are the top offers

Best Buy’s Tech Fest kicked off yesterday—a day before Amazon’s Prime Day began—and runs through June 28, two days after Amazon’s sale. As you might expect, there are plenty of deals on TVs, headphones, laptops, soundbars, and more.
With so many offers, it can be hard to know which are really worth it. So we used our expertise to evaluate the discount relative to everyday prices and the quality of the products themselves. A deal is no good if the product doesn’t work that well, right?
If you’re a member of the My Best Buy Plus loyalty program, it may be worth shopping here rather than elsewhere to take advantage of your membership. And compared to online-only retailers like Amazon, Best Buy offers in-store pickup and returns, which can be advantageous, especially for bigger purchases like a new TV.
Consumer Reports will be tracking and sorting through all the offers during Best Buy Tech Fest, as well as the Walmart Deals sale and Amazon Prime Day, to find the best prices on high-quality products that have scored well in our tests. For the latest and greatest sales on highly rated products, check CR’s Deals Hub.
Kitchen Appliances
GE may not be the most popular brand of food processor, but the GE G8P1AASSPSS performs basic food processing tasks admirably, chopping, slicing, and shredding with ease. Plus, it has a generous 12-cup capacity. Like most food processors, it’s not great at puréeing; that’s a task better fit for a blender. Its grating ability could be better, but if you don’t grate a lot of cheese, this food processor may be right for you—especially at this price.
Large Appliances
The 28-inch-wide Samsung RT70F18LRSR is available for the same discount we saw for Memorial Day. It performs well across most of our tests, though it isn’t as easy to use as we’d like. The refrigerator features a stainless steel finish, an optional icemaker (sold separately), digital temperature controls, and WiFi connectivity to control the fridge from your smartphone. And it’s Energy Star-certified.
The LG WM3400CW is already quite inexpensive even when it’s not discounted, so even though it was $25 less during Presidents Day weekend, you’re still getting a good deal. Given its performance, it’s a smart buy and an environmentally friendly choice. This model isn’t particularly gentle on fabric, so you might want to try the delicate cycle for your best threads. This washer’s claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet, and its cycle time is 105 minutes.
The top-rated LG DLE3400W is just $30 more than it was during the last big sale. We expect it to perform similarly to the CR-tested LG DLEX3700W (now discontinued). The tested model delivers solid performance across the board. This stackable Energy Star certified machine, with a claimed capacity of 7.4 cubic feet, is equipped with a moisture sensor, an extended tumble, custom programs, and an end-of-cycle signal—offering all these features at a fairly low price.
Headphones
No, the Beats Studio Buds + don’t carry the Apple name, but they’re close relatives. Apple owns Beats by Dre, and you can buy these true wireless earbuds at the Apple Store. Like AirPods, they’re sleek and stylish, and work seamlessly with an iPhone or another Apple device. So if you don’t want or need the hearing-test or hearing-aid features of the AirPods Pro, the Studio Buds + offer satisfying sound and impressive noise-canceling performance at a lower price.
While there’s nothing revolutionary about the design of Sonos’s first headphone, this elegant noise-canceling model is well-executed. The sleek, minimalist profile feels nice in your hands and actually looks flattering when sitting on your head. And, sonically, the Ace offers smooth, comforting sound and solid bass. If you’re a Sonos fan, this is a good opportunity to get the Ace at a discount.
If you’re in the market for a premium noise-canceling headphone that feels a little, well, unique, there’s a lot to like about this Dyson On-Trac model. Yes, it’s made by the vacuum cleaner company, but Dyson dismisses the doubters with over-the-ear headphones that deliver superb sound. Like many Dyson products, this one sports elegant, upscale styling and a festive use of color. Better yet, the headphones are now back down to the best price we’ve seen at Amazon and Macy’s. Best Buy’s price might be worth it if in-store pickup is available and you don’t want to wait.
The AirPods Max sound really good and have superb and flexible noise-canceling tech. They have a high-performing transparency mode for hearing external sound, as well as spatial audio capability. But the biggest selling point might be the distinctive design and premium feel we’ve all come to expect from an Apple product. At their normal street price of $500, they’re hardly a bargain, but subtract $70, and the Maxes become much more attractive (and the best price we’ve seen in well over a year).
The AirPods Pro 3 are Apple’s top-of-the-line earbuds, and they’re packed with features. The new functions include live translation and a workout mode that allows you to leave your Apple Watch at home. They still offer a clinical-grade hearing test and the option of turning your Pro 3s into an over-the-counter hearing aid. They also sound good and offer a better fit than last year’s Pro 2s. They don’t go on sale very often, so this is an opportunity to get the latest tech at an enticing price.
TVs
The 77-inch OLED77C5PUA is LG’s midtier OLED TV for 2025, and it’s among the best sets you can buy, with great picture quality, high dynamic range, and sound. It features numerous gaming capabilities, including a 144Hz refresh rate. It was $100 less around Memorial Day, so you may want to wait and see if the price drops again later in this sale.
Insignia NS-55F501NA26
We didn’t test this set, a fairly basic 55-inch 4K smart TV from Best Buy’s house brand. However, we did test a similar model, the Insignia NS-55F501NA22, and it performed well for overall picture quality—though not as well for high dynamic range or sound. (It supports DTS Virtual-X sound, which tries to create a 3D sound experience using just the TV’s speakers.) This set utilizes the Amazon Fire TV smart platform, featuring built-in Alexa. It’s $20 less than it was for Memorial Day.
This 55-inch smart TV, a new model for 2025, is an entry-level QLED set that nonetheless provides a satisfying picture, though it lacks the brightness to deliver a compelling HDR experience. (The TV supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR, plus Dolby Atmos audio.) It also lacks some features, such as local dimming, found in step-up models. Sound quality isn’t great, so you might consider adding a soundbar. It uses the Amazon Fire TV smart system with Alexa built in. It was $40 less during Memorial Day, so check back later this week to see if the price drops.
Chromebooks & Laptops
The Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714 has a 14-inch screen that folds back to use as a tablet. Its display is brighter than most, which makes it ideal for reading outside on a sunny day. That said, its battery life is longer than many other Chromebooks’ for web browsing and video playback. Performance speeds are among the top in our rated Chromebooks, making this a great pick for a variety of uses.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i may be a good choice for college students on the go. It lasted longer than most other laptops of its size in web browsing battery tests. The screen shows a wide range of colors that appear accurate in display tests. Performance is fast for complex productivity work and can handle the most demanding tasks.
This 14-inch model weighs next to nothing—2.9 pounds to be precise—and delivers a lot of battery life per charge. Our testers note that it’s not the fastest Chromebook you’ll see, but if you’re just doing typical Chromebook-y tasks, that shouldn’t be much of an issue. It was as low as $159 during major sales last year, so keep an eye out to see if this discount gets any better. Because of inflation, we may not see it hit that same low, but it may still drop.
Tablets
If you want an iPad, this 2025 entry-level model is one of the best tablets for most people. It has a beautiful 10.9-inch display, 128GB of storage, and the ability to record HD video. And its battery lasts a decent amount of time in our testing.
The Amazon Fire HD10 isn’t a high-end tablet, but it offers plenty of power if you just want to tackle “tablet-y” things, like streaming video, reading ebooks, or browsing the web on something bigger than your phone.
Smart Home
The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera can run on either a rechargeable battery or a plug-in power cord (sold separately for $50), which connects to the bottom of the camera and can run up to 25 feet to an outlet. It performs quite well in our lab tests, includes a siren, and offers voice/app control with all four major platforms: Amazon Alexa, Apple Home (with an Arlo Pro Smart Hub, sold separately), Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. Additional features, such as activity zones, person detection, and cloud video storage, require an Arlo Secure subscription.
The Blink Wired Floodlight Cam is at a new low price, beating the previous low by an impressive $15. In our tests, it received very good scores, though its data privacy guarantees are weak, like many brands in this space. Its features include a siren, activity zones, voice/app control via Amazon Alexa, and up to 5 minutes of continuous live streaming. You can store footage locally without a subscription by purchasing a Blink Sync Module 2 ($50) and plugging in a USB flash drive. Cloud video storage and other features (such as person detection) require a Blink Subscription Plan.
The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K is one of the best video doorbells we tested, and this is the best price we’ve ever seen for this model. It provides the flexibility to install it wherever you need it. You can run it using the rechargeable battery or hardwire it to a home’s doorbell wiring for continuous power. Features include geofencing and voice/app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as alerts for people, packages, animals, and vehicles) require an Arlo Secure subscription.
Fitness
The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 treadmill performs very well in testing across ergonomics and user safety, and its wide range of exercises supports both low- and high-intensity workouts. A subscription is required to access any preset programs, though. Its frame comes with a 10-year warranty; its parts and repairs, a 1-year warranty.
The Schwinn Fitness IC4 is a great exercise bike that comes with a small, AC-powered LED display that shows stats like speed, distance, time, and resistance, along with session data. It also has a USB port for charging your phone while you work out. If you want to track your heart rate, you’ll have to connect to its included arm-band heart rate monitor. It has two water bottle holders, a place to store dumbbells (also included), and a reading shelf for your book, tablet, or smartphone. Its frame comes with a 10-year warranty, its parts with a 3-year warranty, and it includes one year of repairs.
The Versa 4 is a great fit for Fitbit fans who want a sleeker-looking smartwatch. You get a good-sized display and all the basics, from GPS-enabled workout tracking to heart rate monitoring. Plus, the battery lasted a generous seven days in CR’s testing.
The Fitbit Charge line has always featured great general-purpose trackers, and the Charge 6 is no exception. It’s sleek, with a 1.1-inch full-color display, making it suitable for the gym and the office. And some of its health-tracking features—like stress monitoring and an ECG (electrocardiogram) function that can alert you to irregular heart rhythms—are more on a par with a smartwatch. The Charge 6 earns excellent test scores in key categories and has more precise heart rate monitoring than its predecessor, the Charge 5. Claimed battery life for the Fitbit Charge 6 is seven days.
Speakers
If you’re looking for a medium-sized outdoor speaker with volume aplenty and more than adequate bass, the Sony ULT Field 5 is a serious contender—and it’s $60 less than its recent sale price. It has an IP67 rating and features restrained LED lighting effects aimed more at adults seated around a fire pit than kids on a sleepover. Size-wise, it’s perfect for a barbecue or a poolside dance party. It’s a bit big for tossing into a bag for a jaunt to the beach, though. If you want a more portable Sony, try the ULT Field 1, which bears a family resemblance in a smaller and less loud and bassy package.
The JBL Flip 7 is a classic do-it-all speaker. It’s small enough to stuff into a bag, but delivers enough sound to provide background music at a barbecue. It’s IP68 water-resistant and dust-proof, and the company claims you can drop it onto a concrete floor from a height of one meter and it’ll keep working. Also, according to JBL, it delivers 16 hours of music on a single charge. The $120 price tag represents a decent value, especially if you think there’s a good chance you’ll be abusing your new speaker more than a little.
Soundbars
The Bose Smart Soundbar is a Dolby Atmos model that delivers decent overall sound, making it suitable for both music and movie soundtrack playback for more casual listeners. It’s a full-featured, 3.0.2 nonsurround model that can be expanded into a full 5.1.2-channel surround system. It can also be used as part of a multi-room WiFi audio system. It features Amazon Alexa built-in and works with Google Assistant (via the Google Home app on a mobile device and/or an optional Google smart speaker). It also supports Bluetooth wireless streaming from a portable device.
The Sony Bravia Theater Bar 6 is $50 off its last big sale price, so this is a great time to invest in a soundbar. Plus, it’s a 3.1.2-channel soundbar that delivers satisfying sound, so it’s a good choice for both movies and music. This model supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive sound, and its main enclosure has upfiring drivers for height sounds. It has Bluetooth wireless connectivity for streaming audio from a portable device.
Air Purifiers
If you’re looking for an air purifier for a small room, the Blueair Mini Restful might be a good fit. Best Buy’s sale is the third-best price we’ve seen—Amazon’s is definitely better. The Mini Restful performed very well in our dust, pollen, and smoke removal tests. And though it’s noisier at high speeds, we found it’s pretty quiet at low speeds—making it a great option for all-day use, say, in a home office.
The portable Blue Pure 211i Max does a terrific job removing dust, pollen, and smoke on its higher setting, but expect a bit of noise. Try it on low for quieter (and top-notch) results. This model is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet and costs about $109 a year to maintain. It also weighs just 17 pounds, making it easy to move around.
Vacuums and Carpet Cleaners
The Shark Stratos AZ3002 is good for any home that has a mixture of carpets and bare floors, especially if it’s also home to a pet. It does a solid job cleaning carpets and an excellent job on bare floors. The lift-away feature that allows it to be used like a canister is another bonus. The price has fluctuated a lot this year, and it’s currently selling at a discount typical of this vacuum.
If you’re a pet owner, take notice: the price on this Shark Vertex DuoClean AZ2002 is a real steal. (It’s the lowest we’ve seen it go in the past six months.) It picks up pet hair especially well and has exceptional suction power. It also has a lift-away canister, which makes cleaning hard-to-reach places easier. The self-cleaning brush roll prevents pet hair (and any long hair) from wrapping around it and getting tangled in the vacuum.
It’s hard to find fault with the iRobot Roomba Max 705. It’s outstanding at vacuuming up pet hair and is no slouch at cleaning carpets either, with a feature that increases suction power when it detects carpet. It’s also great at navigating spaces and avoiding obstacles. We’ve seen this vacuum sell at this current price a few times before so if you don’t buy it during Prime Day, you’ll probably still have the chance to buy it at this discount again.
The Dyson Car+Boat 586119-01 is pricier than the other handheld vacuums we test, but its 24-minute run time is really impressive. It’s also a strong cleaner, especially with pet hair. (Though it’s not as effective at sucking up debris from smaller crevices.) We love that this handheld vacuum comes with a pistol grip, which means less strain on your wrist. The current price is the lowest this vacuum usually sells for when discounted.
We like the Shark Vertex Pro IZ662H’s many features. The wand can be bent to reach underneath furniture, and the vacuum itself folds for more compact storage. The vacuum is a strong cleaner, though it’s not as impressive on carpet as it is on bare floors. Its battery run time is relatively long, so you don’t have to worry as much as some other vacuums that the Shark will die on you while you’re in the middle of cleaning. The price for this vacuum fluctuates.
The Shark PowerDetect IP1251 comes with lots of bells and whistles, including a dirt detection feature and a floor detect mode that adjusts the brush roll speed based on the surface it’s vacuuming. It’s very good at sucking up debris from carpets and picking up pet hair. The vacuum can be converted into a hand vac and folded for storage.
The Shark CarpetXpert EX201 isn’t exactly quiet, but it delivers strong performance otherwise. It comes with a hose that’s 60 inches long to get into tight spots, separate tanks for water and cleaning solution (which we prefer), and a carrying handle. The Shark’s coverage area—based on one tank of solution—is about 24 square feet.
Printers
This Brother inkjet tank printer is a solid pick if you want a do-everything model with an integrated scanner, copier, and fax machine. Tank-style inkjets are far more economical in the long run than printers that use cartridges. (You spend just a few dollars on replacement ink each year.) This model produces crisp text and photos. It spits the text out at a clip, too. And it offers convenient two-sided printing and an auto-feeder for easier scanning and copying. Plus, the compact size makes the printer a nice fit for a small home office.
Smartphones
This is a substantial discount on Samsung’s premium foldable phone. Think of the dual-screen Galaxy Z Fold7 as part smartphone, part tablet, which might be handy if you want to use your phone for, say, both texting and editing spreadsheets for work. It’s a bit heavier than most phones at 7.7 ounces, but it hinges open to reveal an impressive 8-inch display.
This deal is for a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, a smart way to save even more without sacrificing quality. This pint-sized, foldable phone easily stows in your pocket but flips open to reveal a high-quality 6.9-inch display. The cover screen, which remains visible even when the device is closed, shows notifications, dynamic widgets, and your personalized wallpaper. The camera quality and battery life are both impressive.
