If you’re here, you love a good bargain, and I’m the perfect person to help you find one. I spend every day combing through page after page of retailer sites, checking prices of everything we test here at Consumer Reports. So I know right away when something is at a better discount than usual.
And if you don’t see anything you want in this list, don’t worry! Prime Day is coming this June 23 to 26 (and Best Buy, Walmart, and Target have also announced competing sales). That means there will certainly be more opportunities to save soon. But in the meantime, I’ve curated a list of the best offers available right now, most of which are at better-than-usual prices, and a few are the best deals we’ve ever seen for those products.
A deal isn’t just about the size of the discount. I’ve chosen these products because they’re not only at great prices, but they’re also top performers in our lab tests and home evaluations. I’m a firm believer in a good deal starting with a high-quality product, so that’s always the No. 1 factor in determining whether something is worth your money. Price is obviously important, too, so I’m taking into account the average price, the typical discounts, and how often an item goes on sale when I determine how impressive a deal really is.
There are other items on sale as well, so if you want to keep hunting for more discounts, head over to the CR Deals Hub, where I share the top offers on everything CR tests, including tech devices like headphones and TVs, kitchen appliances like air fryers and stand mixers, and home goods like air purifiers and lawn care tools.
Samsung UN75U7900F
Costco’s price is half of what it was a few months ago, and possibly the best TV deal we’ve seen all year, especially. We didn’t test this 75-inch set, but we did test the 50-inch Samsung UN507900F, and it did well for overall picture quality, but it couldn’t deliver a compelling HDR experience. This is a more entry-level 60Hz set in Samsung’s Crystal UHD lineup, although it features Samsung’s Q Symphony technology, which allows you to use the TV’s speakers and a Samsung soundbar simultaneously.
This DeWalt DCD701F2 drill is $40 less than it was a few weeks ago. It has excellent power and above-average speed—plus, its handling is very good, too. It won’t take long to charge, and it won’t be especially noisy while working. This drill weighs 2.4 pounds, making it lighter than average. That said, it has a plastic chuck and doesn’t come with any bit storage.
The Instant Vortex 4 Plus Air Fryer 4QT is a standout for the legibility of its digital controls, relatively low noise levels, and ease of cleaning. What’s more, its square basket design makes it easy to fit in a small Pyrex dish or baking pan—great for turning out sweet treats. The measured 3-quart model has a 1-year warranty.
The Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714 has a 14-inch screen that you can fold back to use as a tablet. Its display is brighter than most, which makes it ideal for reading outside on a sunny day. That said, its battery life is longer than that of many other Chromebooks, lasting 15.75 hours in web browsing tests and 12 hours in video playback. Performance speeds are among the top in our rated Chromebooks, making this a great pick for a variety of uses.
Ethical Pet Seek-A-Treat Flip N Slide Puzzle Dog Toy
Aside from serving as a stimulating activity for pets, puzzle treat dispensers can be a great way to encourage slow(ish) snacking. They can also cost a little more than you might want to pay, so snagging one while it’s on sale can feel like a big win, and your dog will be excited too. Nicky Besuden, CR’s associate director of new ventures, recommends this dynamic treat dispenser: “My dog loves all the treat puzzles.”
The GorFanty 10-in-1 MultiPurpose, which typically retails for $100, is an excellent cleaner with a decent steam rate—and it’s still available for its lowest price. It takes only 20 seconds for the steam mop to produce steam, and its steam can last for around 10 minutes on its maximum setting. We like that you can adjust the length of the mop to accommodate people of different heights. The mop comes with plenty of accessories, including attachments for cleaning tile grout, clothes, furniture, windows, and carpets.
The Kamado Joe Classic is one of the few grills we’ve tested that’s on sale, and Amazon’s price is only $50 more than the best we’ve seen. It’s our top-rated ceramic kamado and comes packed with features, including a few that make it a stellar smoker. It has an elevated rack and comes with a heat deflector for smoking meats, both of which allow you to easily slow-cook, say, a brisket, without drying it out. It also has adjustable dampers and a locking lid, which help control the flow of air so that you can maintain a low and slow smoke for hours on end. It excelled at slow-cooking a pork shoulder in our tests, as well as at cooking a thin-crust pizza over high heat, helping it earn a rating of Excellent for cooking performance.
Ice Bath
Pod Company Pro IcePod 2.0
This portable ice bath from Pod Company is now $20 less than I’ve ever seen, making it an even better deal than usual. It’s a great option if you’re thinking of investing in something like this to keep at home. In our evaluations, it was easy to set up and take apart. It is smaller than the comparable Cold Pod XL (which costs a bit more), but otherwise, the two are very similar. So it may be better suited for smaller individuals. For example, one of our evaluators was around 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds and found this one to be a bit cramped compared to the other model. That said, if you don’t mind close quarters and like the price to test out ice baths at home, this could be just what you’re looking for.
This Black+Decker BEBL7000 leaf blower is $10 less than it’s been for months. It has a well-performing built-in vacuum function, making it easy to gather leaves into the included collection bag for composting or easy discarding. The bag connects using a flexible tube, making it easy to handle and maneuver. It’ll move leaves with very respectable efficiency (up to 250mph), and leave little impact on your ears and neighbors. You’ll have multiple speeds at your disposal to tackle any job.
The LG LREL6321S single oven is an exceptionally strong performer at a great price, especially since it’s $50 less than it was during the last big sale. It heats fast and simmers steadily on top of the stove, earning an excellent performance rating in our cooktop high and low tests. It also bakes and broils evenly. There’s no convection mode, but you’ll find a warming element, along with two high-powered burners on the cooktop. LG earned high reliability ratings for its electric ovens based on our member surveys.
